Voucher. LOLIGO: station 2FB.
Diagnosis. Voucher is a small, incomplete specimen, fragment about 6mm long and 1mm wide for 15 chaetigers; first 11 chaetigers with notochaetae only; from chaetiger 12 hooded hooks only. Body overall robust, cylindrical, of nearly uniform width, abdomen only slightly tapering; annulation distinct; all segments biannulated. Colour in alcohol tan.
Prostomium a short, wide conical lobe. Peristomium simple, wide achaetigerous ring. Eyes absent.
Chaetigers 1-11 with notochaetae only in both rami; notochaetae capillaries, unilimbate with narrow wings, arranged in two rows of shorter and longer notochaetae. Abdomen from chaetiger 12; only 4 abdominal chaetigers present. Noto- and neuropodia appear connected laterally; neuropodial lobes extended to the lateral end, ventrally connected. Notopodia with about 40 hooded hooks, neuropodia with many hooks. Multidentate hooded hooks with relatively slender shaft, main fang closely surmounted by a series of very small teeth, with very short inflated, rounded hood. The rest of abdomen unknown. Pygidium unknown.
Remarks. Better preserved specimens will be necessary to fully diagnose this species.
